Adding fall decor touches to your home to make it cozy is easier and less expensive than you may think.
I have a secret. I don't store any fall decor. Zero. Every season I head to my local farm stand to purchase the cutest pumpkins I can find. I mostly buy small white pumpkins, a couple medium ones, two or three green pumpkins, and a couple show stoppers that have odd shapes or are knobby. I pick out a scented candle and a new towel. The rest I make by hand with watercolor and chalk.
I love to stitch a new towel and paint some cute little pumpkins to add a little whimsy.
You don't have to buy all the plastic stuff they put out at the big box stores. That stuff goes out of style the next season. Instead, tuck a few natural elements in to your existing decor or try your hand at painting, stitching, or chalking. You'll likely find that heartfelt decor is the best kind and when you get your hands to work your decor becomes more meaningful.
